its crunch time, need to figure this out & my head is spinning.....
2025 xlt f150 with the blacked out appearance package, 18" factory mesh wheels.

I was really hoping to keep tire weight down.
So discount suggested 275 70 18 being an option

but as of now per the manager at discount the Falken Wilpeaks at4 in a C load in 285 70 18 is the runner-up.
Thoughts? Theyre 68lbs a tire....
Was hoping to not tank fuel mileage & this is pretty much a pavement princess other than some fire roads about the ranch...

What about Nittos Terra Grapplers G3 in the 275 70 18 45lbs a tire?

G3s are great tires. That will be a much better riding tire than the Wild peak.

Anyone know if the 285 70 18 will clear the UCA w/o a spacer on a stock wheel?

Well, I made a decision...
May have not been the best decision, but a decision none the less...
Sat their a DT for about an hour just staring at the tires...
Got a different opinion from every employee I discussed the scenario with...

I really wanted the lighter 275 70 18 Nitto G 3's, really did...
I finally but my lip & said put the Nittos on.....

They put them on & the second I saw it, looked like a roller-skate.
I didnt even drive it, said pull them off & get the Fallken WildPeaks on there, the LT285 70 18 C load....

Would have been a different story if I pulled the trigger on some 17" methods, but didnt want to go there....
Looks much better with the bigger tire, but sure the fuel consumption is going to take a nice hit..

The first 2 pics are the 275 70 18 Nittos G3, the remaining pics are the Falken WildPeaks in 285 70 18 with a 2.5" maxtrac level.

I'd say you made the right choice. The meatier tire always looks better in my mind. Curious why you opted for the 2.5" level? I was planning on going with a 2" to avoid any control arm issues. I have that same truck but in all black. I plan on keeping the stock wheels as well.

I'm personally torn between going with a 285/75R18 Yokohama M/T 003 or a 275/70/R18 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T (or M/T). I used to run with Firestone M/T2's but decided to change it up this time.

I have those AT4Ws, they are great tires but yes heavy... The weight is all around durability offroad. If you aren't offroading I would focus on a mild A/T tire like the Nokian nAT, Firestone Destination A/T2, Continental Terrain Contact A/T, etc.

I have run the Wildpeaks on two different Jeeps very happy with the results. Got over 70K on the Gladiator, still looked good when I traded it. Yes, they are heavy, but a great tire. On the short list to replace the Goodyears on my truck.

I just put 35x11.50R17 on the Wrangler and they are awesome.

I've got 34s on my F150.
