" That is bone stock with no level or drop, it was almost perfectly level at full payload so i will not be modifying. "
That validates my suspicion that Ford has properly designed the suspension of this truck. Knowing that, and assuming that you know that you are going to use it as a truck (carrying heavy stuff on occasion), one would not go lowering the rear or raising the front. I call that smart!
I dont normally get called smart, so i'll take it!

To answer the rake question specifically, the rake is the difference in height between the rear gap and front gap on your truck. So if your fender is 36 inches from the ground in the front and the rear fender is 40 inches from the ground, you have a rake of 4 inches. The Tremors are notorious for having a ridiculous rake. They look like drag cars ready to squat.

Here is mine. Granted the nose is parked on a slight downhill, but you can see the huge gap in the rear as opposed to the front.
I've always wondered what rake meant but thank you for clarifying it. Makes sense now.

No problem, and I should clarify I am over simplifying this, and technically we aren't figuring out the true rake, but us truck owners have kind of taken the word and ran with it. Sin e my rear gap is 4 inches higher than my front, I say I have a 4 inch rake.

"Technically" saying my truck has 4 inches of rake doesn't make sense since rake is actually the angle. This is where my explanation will fall short since I hate math. Instead here is a pretty picture and definition.

Thanks for the indept explanation. Now I'm just wondering if my 502a Lariat Sport Powerboost, can be lowered successfully, without interfering with the adjustment of the lights.

I have the 502A Lariat as well with 5.0 and Max Tow. Removing my blocks under the rear springs and adding the Maxtrac lowering shackles was just a bit too much for me. The truck sat properly but driving it the rear view mirror couldn't see out of the back window correctly. Once I put the stock shackles on its sitting a bit high in the rear but it drives perfectly.
On a side note if anyone needs a set of Maxtrac lowering shackles let me know. ☺

^^^^^What?????

I could not see out of my rear window properly. You know what I did? I just removed the rear middle seat head rest. Problem solved. If I ever have 5 passengers, I can temporarily reinstall it. Takes 2 seconds.

It was just the angle the truck was sitting at that was the issue. With the truck basically level the mirror is mounted high enough that I could see the top of rear window when properly adjusted.

If the mirror was a bit lower it wouldn't have been an issue.

My KingRanch Powerboost is stock "rake", and that center headrest was still in my way.
Fortunately it lowers considerably and folds forward. Completely out of my way now.

I wouldn't mind a little less rake for the empty stance, but I need the truck to be able to manage a load when it's time to do truck stuff. Besides, it has factory elephant ears (tow mirrors), so if it was perfectly level it would still draw ire. :)
