Want to understand this OTA process

I bought a used 2022 XL STX 4x4 last Friday. Still figuring out some of the controls, but this sync 4 system has me stumped. From what I understand the OTA updates happen when a server somewhere decides to do it. I went through some screens and found on that said Priority Update 23-PU0110-RAD-PS. Well it did until I did the factory reset. Now it says no updates available.

I have connected it to my home Wi-Fi, so will that allow the updates to happen. I also set recurring schedule to any day at 0100.

From what I have found, the update above is about 5 months old, so does that mean all updates released after that will need to come later?

WiFi is never required except for ONE update that breaks the OTA process, but you probably never had that update.

Been a mystery for Gen 14 since 2021 models started going to homes.

My truck does far more uploading per month over WiFi than downloading. For whatever reason I still don't understand the year started off with several gigabytes of date upload. Then it has been fairly quiet last two months. Usually less than 100 MB download per week if anything at all.

Update files are small and some think they have occasionally caught updates downloading over WiFi but it is so rare it is a running joke around here that WiFi is worthless.
