2021 Lariat, there was a small pile of them in the centre console, three from the dash and one from the back side of the console that had fallen off before I bought the truck. Dealer promised to have them fixed for me.

Turns out that most of the dash had to be removed to get at them, and they had to replace the complete assemblies. The knobs themselves are not available.

Just had this problem myself. I really don't want to rip the dash apart, so I'm considering trying to design something that just clips to the front and 3D printing it.

Anyone tried this, or obvious reason it wouldn't work?

OK, it took me about 11 iterations but I finally have something. It's not perfect - so while I'd be more than happy to mail anyone these for the cost of shipping, I'd like to iterate a bit more and see if anyone can improve on my design. And maybe get some black PETG and dial that in.

I printed mine in ASA and split it down the middle along the slit in the back, adding snap connectors. I think PETG to flex around the nub in the middle of the vent and snap in the back would be best. The non-split version looks like this, but it broke when I tried to force it in:

Suggestions and contributions welcome! The attached ZIP has the stl for printing, and the STEP + F3D files for any edits you'd like to make.

My Man!!!!! I took this and printed in black PETG, it came out too small for the vents on my 2019 F-150 Lariat, but I stretched the x axis by an extra 30% and it works like a charm. I was hoping that there was someone that would have mocked up a little stl for it, and here you are! Thank you! Saved me $50 for a new vent.

Updated the design a bit - it fits better, and included an example 3mf for splitting the model in half to connect together inside the vent vs trying to fit it over and potentially breaking something!

It still falls off the back part of the handle that moves the vent back and fourth sometimes, but works well enough for me, very easy to just push it back into place.
