V-8 Transmission Whine?

I've noticed as I'm running at lower speeds, the transmission whines more than I've ever heard in another vehicle before. Have a 2022 KR 601A Crew Cab 4x4...normal or not?

i'd say a bit of whine at idle is normal but i dont notice it at speed. I would bring it in to have the fluid level checked (needs to be piping hot)

100% normal per Ford. There is a transmission whine and there is also a 5.0 intake/Throttle body whine too. Very annoying

Annoying for sure, I have an appointment next week to get my permanent fender badges installed and will also just have them check fluid levels and what not. I thought it was the air intake as well, but noticed is coincided with the gears shifting up and down.

Took a while to get use to the V8 sound. But once you've put more miles on it, and feel ok opening it up, your testosterone levels will be regenerated.

I've got almost 5K on it and have opened it up plenty; lots of highway miles for me. This is what I've noticed at lower speeds in my neighborhood and in the parking garage at my work. Can't really do the whole Back to the Future 88 MPH thing in those locations.

Had a 2015 5.0, and a 2021 5.0, and in the latter the whine was quite prevalent! However, the whine also exists on my 3.5eb and apparently it's normal and comes from the transmission.

Yea ive had 4 10spd vehicles and 2 out of 4 whine including my F150. Been told it’s normal even though it sounds stupid in a vehicle that’s designed to be quieter than older vehicles.
I guess EPA regulates exhaust noise but not transmission noise.

I couldn't agree more, 50 years of progress and my 1972 V8 is quieter at idle than my 2021 lol

Yup, Ford Dealer read me a Service Note Ford sent out saying two specific transmissions may exhibit a noise (V8 and V6) and that it was a normal aspect of the way it operates.
