I have a 2021 powerboost, purchased Sept of 2021, spoke with fordpass they told me last update was August 2021. Ive been aware something wasn’t right, and have taken it to 2 different dealers and was told they updated it and its up to date, first dealership had it in November 22 the second dealership had it in April 2023. Sync Software version: 21136 Revision 134

To put this into simple terms, they've done precisely fuckall to your truck. (zero updates have been installed by either dealer outside of a TSB that has nothing to do with sync, and that was done last year.)

You need a mongoose cable and close to a full day to do the updates.

We need to start exposing the dealerships that do a great job and those that do a crappy job. Kind of a Naughty or Nice list - seems appropriate for the season. If dealerships get exposed for shoddy work maybe fewer people will buy from them. We need something to identify the good from the bad.

On 11/30/22, no one even hooked up the truck to FDRS to check for updates. In May of 2023, they did connect to FDRS, but did not attempt to update anything. Ford does not pay dealers to updates, so this happens all the time. Your truck is past the point where job 1 2021's are known to get stuck not getting updates, but no updates in over 2 years is strange. Also, your truck is a job 2.

I am amazed that the fluffer that answered the phone knew where to look to see when the last update you got was. The problem is, that "update" was not an OTA update. What they saw was when your truck was programmed on the assembly line at the factory the day it was built on 8/13. It does not seem like your truck has never recorded an OTA update ever.
