Has anyone done an "Ultimate Value Build"? I keep realizing that I am paying for packages that have options I am already entitled to. It gets really bad with a Powerboost and Max tow (tank, rear end etc.) , as well as Lariat High 502A and the CoPilot Active Assist 2.0 360 Prep Package.

Then you add in the mandatory 20" chrome wheels for Max Tow, regardless if you wanted to replace them with your own, since you only get a single option from the factory. Or having to add a tow package just for tow mirrors...I'm probably spending $7K that I wouldnt have to if I could give up a few options.

Just curious if anyone has played around to find out what the best "bang for your buck" is

Depends on what you want or need. I feel like I'm getting pretty amazing value with a 701A package - no FX4 and no Twin Panel roof. I wanted massaging seats, power running boards, Unleashed audio, the 5.0, and the dynamic headlights. Only thing I added beyond that was the 3.31 locking rear axle. Could I do it for less? Sure thing, except that I'd have to add it all aftermarket. I'm pretty stuck on getting as close to the final product out of the factory as I can.

I don't think this is what you're looking for considering your 502a mention but for "Ultimate Value Build" its hard to overlook the XLT 302A. You loose some of the high end options but has a decent list of "value" options.

Yeah, an XLT is where the value is at for sure. There were only a few items on my must have that pushed me beyond the XLT, with heated seats, and memory buttons for the mirrors, seats, steering wheel, and pedals being the main ones. Ford really did a great job allowing some of the best options to make it down into the XLT this time around, namely all the camera tech and big screen. Before the order guides went public I though for sure you were going to have to step up to a Lariat to get those things. But they made them accessible to a lot more people by drilling them down into the XLT which I love. If this truck were just for me I would have ended up with an XLT, but since it is going to be my wife's daily driver we ended up ordering a KR with a bunch of stuff I didn't need/want...But what's that saying, happy wife - happy life...

I’m gonna love my Lariat SuperCrew, but if I was just getting a bare bones truck, I’d build it as:

-XL Regular cab
-101A High package
-Velocity Blue Metallic
-5.0L V8
-4x4 (3.31 axle included)
-17” base steel wheels
-Cloth seats (40/20/40 bench)
-Vinyl floor covering
-Sync 4 (added as option)

MSRP: $38,440

This build would be a good old fashioned utility truck with only a few extras. Besides, the regular cab with the V8 should be pretty quick too!
