Hello - Has anyone found a way to silence the black plastic strip that is in the middle of the twin-panel moonroof on the inside of the 2024 F150? Any substantial bump or even just closing the driver door causes that black plastic strip to rattle/clunk.

Perform the suggested yearly routine maintenance. The Ford instructions are online. It requires a specific Krytox lubricant available on Amazon.

Easy DIY. About a 30 minute procedure.

@brianm0643 Yep! Just went to Home Depot and bought a roll of some 1/2" foam weatherstrip that has self-adhesive on one side and stuck it on the entire width of the top of the front and back of the plastic piece (between the plastic piece and the glass)... problem solved.

Thank you. This idea sounds great. Did you somehow take that piece down to attach the foam?

@brianm0643 No I didn't take anything down... Just pulled it downward with my hand and held it there while I slowly used the other hand to stick the foam in place. A helper would have been nice so they could hold it down while I used two hands to more precisely place the foam. There is a little ledge up there for it to stick to but it was pretty dusty so I cleaned it off good and used rubbing alcohol to make sure the adhesive stuck good.
