I’m new to fancy trucks with turbos and what not... I have what appears to be a turbo gauge on my instrument cluster that I’ve never seen move or change..

can someone explain to me what this measures or how to use it?
Thanks.

Put your pedal to the medal and you’ll see it move. If you drive like me, it’ll hardy ever see it move.

It measures the boost your turbos are making in pounds per square inch. (PSI)

It measures the increase in intake manifold pressure created when the turbo charger is adding boost. As stated, if you don't put the pedal to the metal, you may not see it move at all.

If you pull a trailer, you should see it registering boost.

Since the boost is computer regulated, this gauge is not really neccessary, because the computer will prevent over-boosting (just like it will prevent over-revving).

I don’t even use a boost gauge when I’m on the race track in my AMG. Couldn’t figure out why it was there in a truck. Whether I’m pulling a trailer or not, it shows me the boost working.

Put on the Sports mode and haul ass, and you will see boost engage a lot more often.

It measures the boost (PSI) that the turbos are generating. If you’re a feather foot, you won’t see it making too much boost (if at all) that often.
