Hi Everyone, had an accident Jan 14th and insurance totalled my truck. It was purchased June 2021, had no issues except for a fantom wrench problem that I believe may have been bad gas. Airbags deployed but still ended up with broken ribs and a punctured lung just missed my heart. Recovering and looking to get another truck and have an order in. I am hoping that the market / Manufacturing insanity ends so I can put my life back together. Really do miss my truck.

Sounds and looks like a heck of a blow. Glad you're doing better. What caused the internal damage? Airbag through arm into ribs and punctured lung?

I do not know can only guess it was the airbag. bystander revived me up after the collision I was knocked out. Both the lower and steering wheel airbags had deployed bruising everywhere. Broken rib near sternum

Glad you’re ok. What were the approximate speeds involved?

I passed out and don't know. I only know was the light had turned green and I was moving through the intersection when I passed out. They don't know why i passed out. I did not have a stroke, no high blood pressure, heart is in great shape no blockages. They did MRI on my head and chest and they can't see anything that would cause me to pass out. Doctors have no answers.

Glad you are recovering. I totaled my 2018 in October. Ordered a 2022 on 10/29– still waiting.

Jim we should start a club. How long did it take them to assign you a Vin?

Sounds like a decent cardiac and vessel work up. Did they also complete an EEG? To See if this was seizure related?

Yes part of the reason they are so baffled. Been scanned about every way that I can. When they were checking my neck for any blockages it got me wondering how much pressure would need to be on my neck to make me pass out. I had a mark from the seat belt that was near the base of my neck that has me wondering if that could have caused me to pass out. I was in a bit of a hurry and may not have adjusted the belt to ride where it should be on my shoulder.

I am still waiting--1st delay was for snow plow prep--latest delay for the 5.0. I am a #2 priority, started at 19, then my dealer bumped me to 10, and now I am a 2. Very frustrating.

Well I am hoping this year is better than last and they get things sorted out sooner than later, good luck and I hope it magically shows up for you soon.

Thanks--so do I--have you ordered a new one? Only good thing about what is going on with vehicles right now is I received more than I paid for the truck 3 years ago. Of course I paid more for the new one, but the difference was about the same as if we were in normal times. Hope you are feeling better--get healthy :)

Yes I do, feels like starting all over, once I get cleared from DR will try to find something to get me to work in the meantime. Rental is going to cost an arm and a leg. Like you the insurance paid out more than what I purchased my truck, which would be great if I could find one. Crazy times we're living in.

yep--crazy times--we have quite a few 150's out here, but only 1 XL with snow plow prep--no where near the options I ordered. I am in WI, and found one exactly as I ordered in OK except for color, and has a 3.73 locking rear, I ordered a 3.31 locking, plus the want 2k over sticker. Hope your new one does not take as long as mine. I almost think I should have ordered a Lariat, as they seem to be building Lariat's and Platinum before XLT's.
