"Transmission Not In Park" Warning

Informational post for those troubleshooting their issues.

Pulled to a stop and jabbed the start/stop button quickly. Truck moved the gear shifter to park for me and then threw a fit about it not being in park. "Transmission Not in Park" and Service Soon messages on dash with P light flashing on shifter. Unable to restart truck or move shifter.

Cleared by disconnecting ground on both 12V batteries. I'm assuming I had an error in the GSM.

Another reason to always have battery wrenches in the truck toolkit.
