Transmission Not in Park Message

I'm having the same issue. Dealership has realigned the door and replaced the gear shifter. There is also a musty smell in the truck after every rainfall. Has anyone found any resolution to this?

My 2021 XLT is doing the exact same thing and going into park when coming to a stop, did they resolve the issue?

Most likely, you've got something going on with a door switch. The truck thinks you're opening the door while in drive.

I would not expect there to be a "fix", other than, "Get your door switch checked out".

Any chance you’re still able to help with this? My 2021 is having this exact problem and has been in to have this fixed twice already with no luck.
