I was hoping the trailer brake module recall would have fixed this as well but it didn't. Towed my boat a couple days ago and got lamp issue notification, rapid blinking directiionals, trailer disconnected error messages.... All while everything was working .
I get the right turn lamp message and the lamp doesn't blink, which doubles as the break light. Im hoping it's an easy wiring connection issue since I leave for Cape Charles Virginia on the 13th. Canceled a couple trips waiting on this rather expensive truck, I would like my turn indicators to work properly for the 4 hour trip

First time pulling our trailer since several OTA updates (now on 2.8.3) and recall work on trailer brake controller. I also added tons of wiring to support ground circuits. Same exact issues: left turn signal fault when lights are on and “trailer disconnected” warning when restarting the truck with trailer still connected. So disappointed.

I am dropping my truck off for a Monday appointment. Leave on Saturday the 13th. Trailer battery not charging, right turn fault. We will be on the road for over 5 hours, so i need the battery for my fridge. Chances they can resolve the issue before I leave????
I got the truck 11 days ago, less than 500 miles on it, so disappointed is an understatement

Dealer called me, said the truck checked out fine. I told him the problem occurs on 3 separate later model campers. They will do more investigation...

That matches the experience of others on this list. I wish we could know what exactly causes that. I mean electrically. But I’ve posted on this forum that if it about LED lamps, that is ridiculous. Mine only had problems once I switched.

Cut the trailer lug off and wire up a new one . Worked perfect no faults.

Sorry trailer plug.
Do you mean the female end on the truck or the male end on the trailer? I’ve been assuming that you mean the male end. @kevdog0710 tried connecting different trailers and others have too. I might try it eventually but I don’t have high hopes.

He must mean the male trailer plug. My trailer works on everything besides my truck. Hopefully I don't need to do that, but I have done other fixes that make zero sense and actually work, so...
Just to recap, trailer had state inspection, had to leave my truck for them to do the inspection. Inspector ended up plugging my trailer into his truck to do the light check, everything works as it should. My truck, which I just got on 7/27, has right turn fault and battery charge fault. I haven't checked to see if the battery is or isn't charging. Right turn and brake light do not operate. Rapid flashing on the right turn indicator.
Left brake and turn signal work, trailer brakes also operate as they should.
This problem occurs on my 2018 Starcraft, my sisters 2021 Jayco and a friends 2016ish camper, forget what brand.
Ill update once I hear from my dealer tomorrow.

Ford was unable to diagnose any issues with my truck. They contacted Ford and got the attached response, which does mention the LED issue.
Went and picked my trailer up after I got my truck back and everything works!? My assumption is there was corrosion that got scratched away during testing...
The dealer was a big help and didn't blow me off when I said it was the truck, not the trailer.
I'll get some electrical contact cleaner, clean everything real good and reapply dialetric grease.

Dialetric grease is non conductive. It's an insulator.
