Trailer brakes!!!!

Took my 2021 power boost in to get a recall on the windshield wipers. While it was there I asked him to fix the trailer brakes I told them that the lights would come on it wasn't showing any thoughts or anything but the trailer brakes would not work. Brought it back you said everything was fine it must be my trailer I said it can't be my trailer because it works with my F-250 .we went round and round I ended up leaving so now I'm looking for some advice on what it might be? Otherwise I'm going to drive the truck through the dealership door ! ? help me please

There was definitely a software update for the trailer brake controller - you should confirm that they have installed this or that it was successfully installed OTA.

Sounds like you'll have to trouble shoot it yourself...Do you have Multimeter or a 12v test light?
Check the brake controller pin to ground, should see nothing, then have someone press the brakes or slide the trailer brake controller arm and see if voltage shows up. If there is nothing. Verify your Ground is good by checking continuity between the ground plug and the chassis.

Check the fuse

Also I'm not sure if you would need to have a trailer connected for the outputs to work, there are so many darn microchips in these trucks now, I could see them not having this plug 'active' unless there is something plugged into it.

I took it to a trailer repair place and he said there was a little square box that he needed to mount on the trailer for the type of brakes that I had the truck does not recognize it for some reason? Anyway I will keep you all updated
