Thought I posted this question, but can't find it so resending.

On a recent trip the Trailer Blind Spot does not seem to be working correctly.

Blind spot is turned on for car.
When I hook up trailer, says Trailer Blind Spot ready.
When I go to Vehicle - Towing screen (where there are options to turn on/off), I thought there was an entry for Trailer Blind Spot monitoring was listed but it isn't there.
When I pass a vehicle, the blind spot indicator turns on and stays on until vehicle is behind the end of the trailer
When a vehicle passes me, the blind spot indicator doesn't turn on until in truck blind spot (already next to trailer).

The measurements of trailer is defined as 7.5' wide and 25' long.

Appreciate any info.
Thanks
Cindy

Probably pretty normal for how the Blind spot system works. I know your measurements are not exactly the same but somewhat explains how it would be hard for the radar to see the car next to you

I know you have to setup the length and width of the trailer in the menus, so make sure you have done that. I think once you connect the trailer, you can go into the towing menu on the center stack screen and verify that trailer blind spot is turned on. There may be a setting in the tow menu on the driver info screen (where the speedometer is at), but I can't recall now. But I do remember the trailer needs to be connected.

I think you also need to select an "active trailer" on the center stack screen, which would put the info in of the width and length and all that.

My current truck is fairly accurate at picking up the cars on either side, but its definitely not as accurate as without the trailer attached. It is better than my 2022 was though. And both are way better than my 2020 was. With the 2024, its almost unnecessary as when you hit the signal you can see all the way down the side of the trailer on the center stack, and I have a furrion camera in the back.

Thanks. The measurements are entered, trailer is attached. As I mentioned, it worked as expected before this trip, now not working and I am almost positive that before now, the trailer blind spot was listed when I went to Vehicle - Towing screens.

Go to Towing
Select Active Trailer
Toggle to no active trailer then back to your trailer.
Then it should show the trailer info. I named a trailer “test” and got the below info.
