My truck came used with the pro trailer Assist technology. Apparently there is either a sticker or some sort of little box. Can someone tell me what the little box is called? I'd like to see how much they are to buy. Supposedly it's better than just the sticker.

I have the yaw sensor but I have only tried the stickers. They work ok if the lighting isn't weird (alternating sun/shadows for example), otherwise your camera has a hard time seeing the sticker. If I were you I would give the stickers a try and see if you even care about using the system. For me it's a "gee whiz" thing that I try every once in a while for fun, but usually I can back my trailer faster without it.

I tried it a while back with the stickers and didn't like it. To me, it's just an accessory that costs us extra that really isn't necessary, and that most people don't use anyway. IMO, if you're going to pull a trailer, you need to learn how to back it up. It's as simple as going to a large parking lot and learning how the truck and trailer reacts as you back up and steer. Also, if you have multiple trailers, remember that the length of the trailer makes a big difference in the amount of steering input you need to get the trailer where you want it.

I live on a farm. I have several trailers and have been using them without any assistance for years. Despite LOTS of practice, I'm still no pro. If this makes tight spots and corners easier then I plan to learn to use the system to it's maximum potential. If like you say this is an extra that isn't necessary, I'll find it soon enough.

I often need to make adjustments after backing into a parking space much less backing a trailer lol.

I have a '21 Limited with all sorts of gadgets that I don't know how to use including some 'Pro Trailer' system.

Soon, I'll have an RV to tow. My truck also has a camper shell which covers up the camera in the back of the bed, which oddly enough, seemed to make no changes to any other systems or even my overall camera view.

With this camera blocked, is it safe to assume that Pro Trailer will never work correctly?

Please advise.
