Tow Hooks

Has anyone installed tow hooks on the 2022 models that no longer come with tow hooks? i.e., Lariat?

That's a new one to me. My 2022 Lariat 4x4, non-FX4 has tow hooks. It's a 502A. Has Ford really gone that far south?

Is it RWD?

Yes, 2wd owner, they bolt up but don’t fit between the air dam and valence. If you are willing to cut they will fit. I took them off and returned them but am still looking for solutions!

Mine is 2WD. No tow hooks from the factory build. When I ordered in October 2021 they listed as included in the build. By the time they actually built it in late December, that option was eliminated by Ford.

You can buy them through Ford Parts or Accessories. I switched my black ones out for the chrome ones. No big deal to install. The came with mounting hardware and less than $100.00

They arent on most but can be trimmed out to make room for mounting

I have seen the valance on some come with a rubber blank filling in that space that can be jus pushed out

Yes, 2wd have plastic covers that can be unbolted and removed to expose the bolt holes for tow hooks. The bolt holes line up perfect but the gap between the valence pushes it down so without trimming there isn’t enough room to fit them.

I haven't ordered these so I can't confirm for sure this is the right part number but someone I talked to gave me these two versions of the part number. This is the trim piece at the bottom of the bumper that has the cut out for the tow hooks that you would find on a 4x4. These are the textured black plastic found on the XL 4x4. I've got other part numbers for the chrome version of it and the primed for paint version. Hope this helps.

I have a 2022 Lariat with an April 2022 build date and mine came with tow hooks.

I recently purchased a 2021 Platinum Fx4 with 701a high and it doesn’t have the tow hooks, not sure if someone removed them or what. I did find a mounting bracket floating around in the frame but it appears both sides have bolts and brackets attached already.. I was looking into getting tow hooks but wondering if I need the rubber air dam grommets that go around them.
