Sync 4 Connected Nav widely inaccurate - What can I do?

Hi everyone,

Really hoping I can get some help. My sync 4 connected nav is terribly inaccurate. I'm literally parked in front of a building but the nav thinks I'm in a field, and I don't think I ever had weather overlayed on the map. I would appreciate suggestions.

Ford Pass shows me parked at an address that doesn't exist around here.

Weather overlay in is in a selection under the 4 horizontal lines in the weather screen size that's almost full screen
It's quirky as it has 3 selections for radar
One is immediate around you woth no regard to your route
2 is a bit wider look
3rd is max showing most of united states. If you are a US vehicle.
Not sure about Canada vehicles

As far as accuracy in location???
Mine is pretty dead on.
It's Google maps so whatever Google has, is what's there.
Might compare it to your phone map and see if they are same..if they are different
Then there is an issue with one or the other
My fird pass shows the correct address at home and where either vehicle is parked.
The far end of yard. Does pull up a different 911 address number, but it's still my property
Could try reboot sync and see if it clears it up
The pics show my address, but the truck is 100 or so feet north ..in the north end of property.
At times that displays 179
If you plan on dropping by.....bring good bbq

Define inaccurate, is the field across the road?
Does your truck have cellular connection working? Connected navigation requires internet.
You can try rebooting the system and seeing if that might help.

Mine is very accurate but I have clear skies for GPS and very good AT&T signal for truck internet. Not sure what provider is used in Canada.

I can see them long before they arrive
Plus this is texas...the friendly state
But. Only BBQ so good you don't need sauce will be accepted, unless your from Jersey and bring some Taylor's ham??

I believe the inboard modem is supposed to provide connected nav, not a phone connection. I've found Google maps is always more accurate than connected nav, but I haven't tried rebooting sync (I think you press the volume power button and right seek?) so I'll give that a shot when I home.

Correct the trucks modem talks to the world.
Is your trucks internet service on or off
That can affect accuracy as the cell info the truck receives could be off
For example
Real time here is 9:29 am. Verizon time
But my real computer time is 9:27 according to the gmt time center

Do you mean the 3gb/month onboard internet? If so, i did the trial and didn't like it. Although I think I still get those Yelp reviews and weather tracking

The connected Navigation is dependent on good cellular coverage, it has nothing to do with your internet connectivity which I do not have as I let the trial expire the same as you. With that said I do not know your situation for cellular but mine is very good so therefore my connected navigation is very accurate. Wherever I go I can check the Ford pass and it lists the address my truck is parked at as dead on accurate!

Not the hotspot.
Everything in truck runs off the onboard cellular modem for connectivity.
Did your connected navigation expire?
I have the built in navigation and let the connected part expire. Still very accurate.

Does your FordPass show good location on Google maps?

No, mine expires in January. It's weird, another instance is that I put in directions for our cottage and it's always found it previously. Yesterday I put it in to test and it sent me to someone's house address.

I let mine expire, but it is correct when ever I have looked at the nav. I use AA for my nav. and it is dead on, as well as Ford Pass.

Mine has been very accurate at all my locations. Within 30 feet of where parked.

Is anyone on here located in Ontario Canada and willing to help me test a hypothesis? I've done a normal reset of the Sync system (not master reset) and supposedly refreshed connectivity in the truck with the help of some Ford.ca chat service rep. I'm still getting the wrong address on a location even though the address in the info screen is correct (not correct on the map or direction) and I'd like to see if anyone else would be getting the same thing. Please PM me if you're willing to help!
