Hi everyone. Let me start by saying that I am absolutely positive I will never use the yaw sensor that came with my 2021 PB w/ max tow - never. I do use both 7 pin and 4 pin trailer connections regularly. I have also lost 2 on the darn 7-to-4 adaptors.

So, can I simply swap in a Ford 7 and 4 pin combo assembly for the 7 and 12 pin assembly I currently have in the bumper? Of course I would have to either tie up the pigtail of the yaw sensor.

I don’t see why you couldn’t put a new connector if it’s already wired. I changed my 7 pin on my 17 truck no problems. As far as the yaw not sure, if you’re not using it should be ok I would think

Yes, they are 100% interchangeable, BTDT.

The two different bumper socket assemblies are made to fit the same hole with spring-snap retainers, no problem. As you recognize the 7+4-pin socket assembly doesn't have a backside connection for the yaw (and trailer TPMS/Cam) harness so you can just tie that aside.

(I have a fully functional 7+4-pin socket assembly in my rear bumper for my utility trailers, also a fully functional 7+12-pin socket assembly custom-mounted inside my bed for connection of my 5th-wheel camper with trailer-cam/TPMS)
