The Grabbers came on my Roush wheels and initially they were OK. As the miles added up (only about 10,000 thus far), they started to develop a vibration (vehicle has been aligned and tires balanced) and wet traction seemed to get considerably worse as the siping wore off. And fuel mileage really tanked with them. I'm going to swap them out for some 285/55/20 Pirellis and see if they are a better fit. I rarely go on nasty offroad stuff anymore (used to when dirt biking in remote locations) and do a decent amount of towing, so I think the Pirellis will be a better fit.

I welcome feedback from anyone who has the Pirellis on their truck.

How has your experience been with the Pirelli‘s? Considering these when my truck shows up in a couple weeks. Want something slightly more aggressive but quiet on the pavement.

So far, so good. A little quieter, but certainly not as quiet as the OEM Pirelli ATR's. Will be getting some real world snow testing in the next few weeks.

I’ve been happy with the Pirellis on asphalt, in rain, towing, etc… Not “impressed” but happy.

Off road? They gotta go!

Scorpion ATR's or Scorpion All Terrain Plus? Very different tires. You probably have the ATRs.

Dude. Buy any other tire than pirelli. They make a great car tire, but have no business on a truck. Worste tires I have ever had in snow amd off road.

They blow.

I ordered the LT option when I placed my 22 order. Jusy so i was sure not to get the perelis with the truck.

Best money i have spent. The general grabbers i got are so much better.

I think you're confusing the Scorpion ATR's with the Scorpion All Terrain Plus's. The ATR is more of a car/suv/light truck tire and is what originally came with my truck. I then put on wider wheels and the Grabber AT/Xs. The Scorpion All Terrain Plus is very similar in spec to the Grabbers but a little quieter rolling and better on wet roads in my experience. Slightly better fuel economy too. Will see how they do on snow.

Here's the All Terrain Plus (E rated).

Nope. Both are not good. So many better options out there to spend money on those.

I have the pirelli scorpion all terrain plus. I’ve had them on the truck for almost $19,000 miles. I use my truck for off-roading, towing, hauling my slide in camper and ski season. I also live in a fairly mountainous area of Washington state where it snows a foot at a time. These tires have been nothing short of amazing. Full disclosure I have them in p rating. They are quiet on the highway, they have good dry traction, good wet traction, good off-road traction. And they are 3 peak mountain snow rated. They have great snow and ice traction. Our nearby mountain passes have been closed down almost daily with our large snow season this year. These tires haven’t skipped a beat. I told my brother to get a set. My brother in law got a set for his truck. Don’t let others compare to the scorpion ATR (they will be confused and won’t realize it’s a different and inferior tire to the all terrain plus).

TLDR; amazing tire. Will be buying again.

Well, I have a few thousand miles on each tire (ATR, AT/X, and All Terrain Plus), so I'll respectfully disagree. Both Pirellis are just fine.

I had General Grabbers on my Dodge, and they seemed good, but were way too soft for a truck. I did a panic stop one night and locked up the tires at about 40mph. I got out and found that my tires had flat spots and were worn down to the cord from that single stop. Never seen anything like that before, so after that, I stuck with other brands. This was an empty 7,800lb truck. Nothing strange. I then went to the Firestone Destination MT2 and absolutely love these tires. Fantastic traction and seems very durable driving around in fields.

On my Ford, I thought the ATRs that it came with were decent on the road, but abysmal in snow and off-road conditions. Got Cooper Discoverers, and they seemed pretty good all around. They wore out after about 35k miles, and now I have the Pirelli All Terrain Plus, and was immediately impressed by the ride quality and grip. Surprisingly, they also don't have any noticeable noise over the ATRs. I fear they rather soft and won't last long, but they have a pretty long tread life warranty. Just can't say enough about the ride quality.
