Heads up - the image displayed on the status tracker doesn't match the build specs.

I sure hope so also, I have a Job 1 King Ranch and the image also now shows the Pro Access Tailgate. Here is to hoping Ford delivers on what they originally showed.I placed an order for a Job 1 vehicle, and up until now, the rendering always depicted standard tailgate. However, this is a Platinum Plus model, which comes with the Pro Access Tailgate (PAT) as part of the Bed Utility Package for Job 2 orders (reminder.. I have a job 1 order). I'm hopeful that Ford recognized they gave early Job 1 orderers incorrect assumptions and are now delaying the delivery of these trucks to install the PAT, as it should come standard with them.

I'm mixed on the new tailgate. It is harder to get in out of, for actual truck things. Though I doubt I'll use mine much as a truck, and putting a few things in, accessing power, that would be easier with the pro access.I ordered a KR that has been "In Production" since 2/13 and probably on hold because of the dynamic headlamp wiring harness problem that put the Lightning on hold. I hope it was built with the old tailgate. After seeing the new Pro-Access tailgate at the auto show last fall, I wouldn't want one. If you have the entire tailgate down, there is no step available to easily climb into the truck bed. When I'm loading something in the bed with the tailgate down, I often climb in to position the item or place it up front or tie it down. Not easy for a 73-year-old man with bad knees to climb in without the old pull out step. Only step they offer with the new tail gate is a small fold out one that comes out just left of the license plate and only a short distance away from the bumper, it is only accessible when using the swing door of the new tailgate as it does not extend far enough to use with the full tailgate down, and there is no pullout step in that swing door. I don't understand why so many people think that the new tailgate is that usable. I guess it depends on how people use their truck. If you are simply putting a bag of groceries in the back, it might be useful.
My dealer confirmed the PAT installation even on Job 1 high trim trucks yesterday. He was unable to check the 63X box for PAT delete. No idea on delivery but I damned sure don't want to wait until July!I sure hope so also, I have a Job 1 King Ranch and the image also now shows the Pro Access Tailgate. That’s interesting as I haven’t seen any job 1 builds that have the new tailgate. There wouldn’t be a delete option to check on job 1 builds given that it wasn’t an option in the first place. Will be interested to see if it actually shows up with it as everything I’ve seen shows it’s only job 2 builds that started last week, i.e anything built the end of April and onMy dealer confirmed the PAT installation even on Job 1 high trim trucks yesterday. Your right, the delete wasn't initially listed for Job 1 but late last month or so it showed up as an option but only for a couple weeks and then the option was removed. Ford keeps changing their mind on the best method to fix this mess while we sit and wait. I really believe the PAT is the hold up and not the bending headlight cable. That’s interesting as I haven’t seen any job 1 builds that have the new tailgate. I don’t think he was discussing orders placed in job 1 and getting scheduled now as that’s been made pretty clear, he was saying that trucks built in job 1 will have the PATFrom another thread:![]()
So.. if you had a Job 1 truck that was converted to Job 2 (ie. not scheduled before end of Job 1 scheduling), then it got the PAT (because it is now a "Job2" truck).
i think you’re getting a bit confused. The delete option was only given for orders that are getting built in Job 2 (even if they were placed in job 1 they will now be a job 2 build) which is from April on. Since yours was built before April, you couldn’t have added the delete code because the PAT wasn’t an option for trucks built in job 1 (I.e you can’t delete an option that wasn’t available on your truck in the first place). I’ve seen multiple Platinums, and KR get delivered that don’t have the new tailgate, but they also don’t list a delete of the new tailgate because it’s not something included on trucks in Job 1Your right, the delete wasn't initially listed for Job 1 but late last month or so it showed up as an option but only for a couple weeks and then the option was removed.
