Looking for clues to an issue with a system installed a few months ago. System components are Kicker KS speakers all around, Musway One 6(sub)and Musway 6 100(speakers). Forscan EQ set to Flat. Gains on both amps are set at roughly 9 o’clock which was below the clipping level. Bass Boost is off. Also have a sub box w/AC 12” sub.
The system ran flawless for about two months then recently the sub amp started shutting off or going into protection mode after about 15 driving and cranking. I’ve Ohm’d the sub and checked all wiring and connections. The amp is cold to the touch when it drops out. The owner regularly leaves the fob in the truck and has seen a battery charge warning once or twice although the battery voltage was 12.4Vdc when I went through the install a second time.
I am at a loss as to what to do next. The owner had the battery load tested and it passed but he plans on upgrading to H7 800cca. If anyone can shed some light or maybe give me a direction I can go next would be fantastic.
