So i have this notorious steering wheel wobble. starts at about 80km (35x12.50 on 20" -21 XF wheels).... on a 6" BDS suspention lift, everything done by dealer.

things done so far :

Tires balanced 3x
Rims swapped
tires swapped & balanced 2x, then Roadforced
suspension checked
carrier bearing checked.
Alignment done (all in green )

not sure what else could be going on. Feels like the dealer has left me in the dust and doesn't seem to want to help...probably because they don't know what else to do.

The kicker is.....its not all the time. somedays its fine somedays its bad somedays its medium. its Random as hell.

They did put factory rims and tires on and it went away..but like i said its random.

Hopefully someone has any insight on this.

I fix software bugs!
When you say "wobble" do you mean death wobble or ?
How much wobble? When you loosen your hands on the steering wheel, can you see it wobble? Does it only happen at certain speeds?

I see your alignment is green and could simply mean you're within spec. and right on the edge of one of the settings. Depending on the kind of wobble you have, I bet you need more caster.

Hey man. Yeah sometimes the wobble is not there but when it’s not I can feel like a weird pulsation in the steering. Like something ain’t rotating correctly. And when it comes my steering wheel will literally wobble back and fourth . I wouldn’t say death wobble but it really seems like it. Definitely not as aggressive though. Super annoying. Here’s a pic of my alignment and a shorts video of my steering wheel.

Mine has done the same for almost 2 years, but now it is getting worse. I have basically the same setup and in the beginning went through 3 sets of tires and maybe 7 balancing with no fix. I am def looking to take it back to the custom truck shop, while the holidays are down time.

F1502022 and others. Curious if you guys found a fix to the steering wheel wobble?

Bought my first Ford ever (2022 Ford F150 crew cab lariat). Did a Bilstein 5100 front adjustable shocks for the level and 5100 in the rear. Added 20x9 +20mm off set wheels and now Nitto Trail Grappler MT tires.

Now have the annoying steering wheel wobble. Starts at 45 mph to 70 mph, but worse at around 55 mph. Does the exact something as the video shown above.

When I first purchased this truck brand new, it never had a wobble. Installed the leveling kit, tires and wheels at 1k miles. Truck has 3k miles now.

  • Balanced and Road Forced Balanced the tires and wheels over 10 times now.
  • Changed out the tires from the new Toyo MT's to now the new Nitto Trail Grapplers
  • Replaced the front rotors, calibers and brake pads.
  • Had alignment done twice.
STILL HAVE THE ANNOYING ISSUE. Hoping you guys can provide a fix if you found one. Ready to put my truck back down to the nose down stock level or sell my truck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Hog_Johnson,

I am running the Fuel Vandal wheels in 20x9 +20mm offset with 285/60/20 tires. I purchased the plastic hub rings for the wheels as well.

What type of tire and size are you running?

Thank You.
