Sport Mode Sounds Different

I seem to recall a press release a few years ago from ford stating they will use fake engine noises for all vehicles.

sport mode, I would assume, would play a more aggressive sound through the speakers.

Has anyone confirmed it performs better??? On my 15' Ecoboost it was actually slower in the 1/4 mile in sport mode... In my experience it just holds gears longer and makes the throttle stupid touchy... Custom Tuning is the only true "sport mode"

I agree, I actually thought I heard Sport mode differences were 100% in the transmission and didn't do anything in the engine at all as far as tune goes.
