Spontaneous toggle of Nav Bread Crumbs to "Auto"?

Has anyone had Bread Crumbs spontaneously toggle to "Auto", perhaps with a recent OTA update?

I never use 'em, 98% certain I didn't change the setting (could be wrong, again), but realized I was growing an accumulation of dots around my property where I shut of my truck.

Took me a while to figure out what was going on, finally intentionally found the Nav menu item and toggled it to "off" to rid my screen of the measles.

Just curious, maybe I'm losing the bit of my mind that's still left and it's all on me?

Even when the menu setting for Bread Crumbs is toggled to "Off"? I sure hope not on mine, I do live 'in the woods', just toggled mine to "Off" this morning.

I did not know that was an option. That explains it.

I've had the exact same thing happen on my truck on multiple occasions. I leave bread crumbs off and out of no where I pull in to my parking spot at work and there's 6 or 8 bread crumbs on the map. Check the settings, there off, so I turn them on and off and the little poop emoji's disappear. And then randomly could be a day, could be a week they suddenly appear again. I can't attribute it to OTA because it doesn't coincide with them, actually today I noticed they were there again and it's been 4 weeks since my last OTA and they weren't on after that. ?‍
