Speed Governor Delete?

The limiter is there for the rating on the tires. Run the tires at their limit and they break down quicker or give out. Busted belts etc.. Makes for bad ride quality and handling when you are doing mundane driving.


Your experience may vary though. I won't be one to criticize for speeding by any means.

The tires i have are rated for 130+

I'll point out that a C6 Z06 'vette can be had for under $50k.

I'm to tall to fit in a vette i prefer mustangs and my impala but i want every car i get in to have the same potential .

Tires are not the issue even though you always see people stating the speed limiter is for the tires. Every tire I have see come factory is rated above the 105 limit. The biggest issue as I understand it is the drive shaft. Most people who really push these trucks on the track replace the drive shaft with a high performance replacement.

As far as tunes go I like the OZ tune. It maintains all the flex fuel capability and you don't have to worry about what fuel your running. You will see the best performance on E85 but wont have any issues on a lower octane fuel.

I have a 22 xlt 5.0 i am trying to find the best way to delete the govenor i want to go more than a 100 mph closed track of course ?

Only way is to purchase tuner
