What are you trying to accomplish/gain by running a meth system? In the meantime I will give my opinion on these systems.

If you are using the meth system as a safety measure then I think this is perfectly fine. When I say safety measure I am referring to NOT adding additional boost or timing. Many people use these systems on pump gas (93 octane) tunes and in the event you get a bad tank of gas the meth in theory will save your engine. its also great at cooling down your intake charge temps which is great for making power.

If you are solely seeking more power then my personal opinion is you are taking a risk of grenading your engine. By injecting methanol or alcohol into your engine this allows you to advance your ignition timing and if you are currently limited on boost due to pump gas it also allows you to run more boost. So yes, potential is there for more power but the engine will have to be tuned specifically for this. Also, if your injection pump system fails and you are commanding more timing and running higher boost the stock ECU can only do so much to save your engine. Make a few runs with no meth spraying and you will likely be buying a new motor. I get these systems are very reliable but the more things you put in a system that could break, the higher chances of something happening.

Instead of adding a meth injection system I would first swap over to an ethanol based fuel such as E-85. I get you will likely have to swap pump, injectors, and lines but this in my opinion is the best way to go This will allow you to safely increase timing and boost while still effectively cooling the intake charge. Also, the stock ECU is 100% in control of everything fueling related!

On my old supercharged Mustang I went from running 93 octane to E-85 and it made a HUGE difference. No changes in boost but we did increase ignition timing. I don't have dyno numbers but did run the car at the strip on both set ups. On 93 the car ran 10.50s@134, swapping the fuel and adding timing the car ran a best of 9.92@140 (same exact set up at the time).

You may be asking about a different Supercharger, but I’ll mention Whipple doesn’t recommend meth or water injection before the blower. I believe that it can damage the coating on the rotors…

I agree with the poster above....I'd just tune for E85. I guess the only nice thing about running meth is it's availability vs. E85 (sometimes it's hard to find at gas stations).

My last turbo car I was just injecting winter blend windshield wiper fluid (methanol and water) into the motor and my car LOVED it. I never had any issues, but as the user above pointed out, if your pump ever quit, it could mean trouble under WOT.
