Small speedometer tachometer with carplay navigation

I read a few threads, but couldn’t find a solution. When carplay navigation is going, the speed and rpm dials become smaller. As I do km and mi it’s even harder to read. I use the 12” screen and not the ford dash for the navigation. So this feature is useless and actually worse than default. I also mostly do navigation in Europe so it’s always the small dials.

Any way to keep them large with carplay navigation?

use Google Maps with Carplay. Apple Maps inserts the next turn info and makes the gauges smaller.

Any other reputable navigation apps other than Google Maps and Waze? I am not a fan of Google and pretty much avoid all their offerings. Tom Tom is paid, but apparently good in Europe. I might just jump on it.
