2021 F-150 Sport with Electronic locking diff.
I noticed a small green male electrical connector near my rear diff that was not connected and was just dangling. I found a female connection attached to the top of my rear diff that the plug fit perfect, so I plugged it back in.
What is that connector for? I suspect I've been driving for some time with it disconnected. I don't go off road, so have only put the vehicle in FWD on very limited occasion and didn't notice any ill effects that I was aware of.
I am taking the truck into the dealer to have them check out a loud "clunking" sound I occasionally get that sounds like it's coming from my drive shaft.
Thanks.
