What is best to put in truck to get signal to it. Line converter or whatever

It just needs a signal to turn on, so you can tap it into a door speaker for signal.

You'd be amazed how many we get back, NPF (no problem found) but some, act like its a 12" conventional subwoofer.
Out of our top 100 SKUs we sell, and that's a ton of SKU's, HS10 ranked #4 in total pieces sold. HS8 #14.
For every bad review, I bet we sold 50-100 or more that are positive results.
Like I ell my wife on hotel reviews, people will always leave a bad review, rarely anyone leaves a positive.
This year we moved all powered enclosures, to a 2 year full warranty.

I had a HS10 under the seat of my K5 - it was enough “umpf” for me at the time. I went another route with the truck.
Being under the driver seat did give me the feel of bass but it is no means a replacement to a traditional sub and box. As long you are aware of that - it’s a great package!

Amen, its by all means not window shaking, but just enough low end the stock OEM system leaves out.

I've had the hear from 3 blocks away soul shaking systems in my younger days. I just wanna add a little depth to the stock system. Maybe later change out factory speakers but not even sure of that.
I'm to old to be as they say ... beatin up tha block. Lol

tap right into door speaker up front. No need for LOC
All Kicker amps can use low or high level inputs.

When I started this journey I was planning to do the install myself. But their prices are reasonable enough I will most likely have the shop do it.

It used to be that you needed an after market head unit to get higher quality sound and a dedicated channel for a sub. How does one do this now with it all integrated into the touchscreen? I imagine the sub is not getting a clean signal for bass as it would with a dedicated channel.

OK folks, here is my current build list:

Kicker 51HS10 powered sub
Kicker Key 200.1 amp
Kicker KSS650 (6.5") speakers or KSS670 (6.75")

Custom wiring harness from Hush Audio that should make this mostly plug and play.

Does anyone have any input? Good? Bad? Indifferent?
