Slids F-150 Reg Cab 5.0L 4x4 Build

i guess will start with my previous build first...
its a 2019 toyota tacoma access cab.

Build list:
icon stage 4 suspension system with billet upper control arms
Raceline 960 alpha 17x8.5 0 offset
Falken Wildpeak A/T4w LT 315/70r17 Load C
L83 or L84 deaver leafsprings or maybe a custom set of atlas leafsprings.
Awe Tuning exhaust.




Future upgrades:
Rci skid plates
custom rock sliders

If you do new leaf springs, try and do a before and after flex test; I've considered swapping mine, but cannot find any info on if they give more travel / flex

I don't know where riverside is, but if it's not too far from Iowa I'd be interested in your stock steel wheels if you don't want them. I'd like to mount snow tires on them.

I didn’t take any measurements before the install since icon was the one that did the install for me. If i had to guess its around 2.5-2.75.

Your old truck looked great. New truck looks even better. You made the right choice w/ 5.0 RCSB. The payload, wheelbase, and power combo can't be beat. As long as you don't need to move more than 1-2 other humans around at a time, it's the perfect offroading/camping truck. Excited to hear how you find the performance.

I'm actually in the market for one soon after I get my engine replaced and trade in my 2021 2.7L. Had the engine valve crack (recall issue). How did you manage to find this one? They're pretty rare unless you custom-ordered.

Also, pro tip on those icon uppers... be very careful with the aluminum bolts holding the dust cap on the ball joint. They will seize and snap if you don't lube them, or if you over-torque them. And when they do, you won't be able to sufficiently tighten the cap to keep dust out, so you'll have to grease the joint 10x more than you would otherwise to keep it from squeaking incessantly. Ask how I know.

I do question having less air filtration though.

I run a Donaldson PowerCore G2 filter with a Volant intake.

Can't stand slammed trucks, reminding me pants with waist line around thighs. But reasonably lifted trucks look awesome.

Well obviously I was being a bit sarcastic because mine is lifted. I don’t dislike the LOOK of lowered truck but I do dislike the RIDE of lowered trucks and the need to pay close attention to ever bump and driveway.

The worst looking truck I ever saw (in my taste, of course) was lowered FX4(!!!) with low profile wheels sticking out completely outside the fenders. FX4, sir!
