Just happened to me last week, driver side...dealer wanted $71.00 to replace it, before he realized is was still under warranty.

I didn't bother trying to get it fixed under warranty. The drive to the nearest dealer that I'd even let touch my truck, is not particularly handy. For 25 bucks (+-), I replaced it within a couple days.
I did keep the original and if it happened again, might try applying some black RTV or similar, with a toothpick. The thing weighs almost nothing. Wouldn't think it'd take much to get it to hold.

Put a little clear silicone on them ,but don't drive it for awhile to set up . then you can still remove them if needed !! A little little dab do You , on 2 sides.Anyone else having issues with the D/S mirror courtesy light mounts breaking and the light dangling by the power cord? 2021 F150 Lariat Powerboost. This is the second time it’s happened. 42k miles.

I'm on my second replacement set of them for my 2022 Lariat. I just ordered the driver's side less than a month ago and today saw the passenger side hanging down now. My dealer is an hour away so I usually just order the factory part from them through FordParts.com and get it next day but they also used to be $15 apiece in 2024 and now are $45 each side. It always seemed like something simple could be done to fix them but I couldn't get anything to hold very long. I came here looking for a better fix so I'm going to try the silicone trick to see if I can get them to stay in.
