I saw in another forum others having issues with the same gears and this is now on my new 3.5 Ecoboost Platinum. Drove it off the lot with 5miles on it, got it home used Normal and Eco modes, about 50 miles all highway and happened several times. Feels/sounds like a jerk or bang in the drivetrain when under light accel. or decel. using either the gas manually or the adaptive cruise, only on gears 3 and 8. Anyone else or see anything before I go back to a clueless dealership?

There have been numerous people who have had hard shifting in 3rd gear. Some dealerships say it's the trans learning your driving style (I think that's bull), others have gotten updates from the dealership, or had the transmission's memory reset.

I have noticed slight bumps in the 3rd shifts after 650 miles, but it's not earth shatteringly hard, and if it gets worse or I experience bigger issues, I'll take it to the dealership and have them figure it out.

The trucks do have a warranty, I'm not worried.

No way that is 'normal' to happen even if it is in some learning routine. Its interesting that its only in 2 specific gears and not any others tho.
