Service from Granger?

Lots of people here have bought trucks from Granger Ford, as did I.

The experience and pricing, couldn't have been better but has anyone had service done there?

We're deep into a 4K+ mile trip with our TT and the timing and routing, will be about right to have the truck's 10K mile service done there.

Since by then, very near half of the trucks life, will have been towing not quite 7K lbs. through the Rockies and back, I'll be wanting a thorough check up and servicing.

If their service is in the same league as sales and delivery, no reason to expect anything but exemplary but thought I'd ask.

We would be happy to provide those services for your vehicle during your trip! Honestly, it just depends on the technicians schedule and if the timing works! I would call 515-999-2224 and see if you are able to plan the right time for your vehicle's service to be done.

The good.

Called for the appointment and they got me in and out, on that appointed day. No issues with what they did.

The not so great.

Its what they didn't do.

A communication mix up I guess. I wanted more than just and oil change and tire rotation. Made clear to the order taker, that I was still on this trip in process, would be camped at a nearby campground and wanted the heavy service checkup.

At the counter, they had no idea of this and based on the look on the face of the mechanic foreman, he wanted no part of it. My guess is, it would have thrown his schedule out of whack.

What I got, according to the paperwork, was the standard 10K mile service. Not even "The Works".

Claimed they did a "dip test", on the differential fluids but there was confusion about that. First report recced flush and replacement (which I approved) but then came back saying they'd made a mistake and it was all good. Not great confidence building there.

This isn't a ding on service at Granger necessarily. It was an out of normal request and communication breakdowns can happen anywhere. Just an honest report and a rec that if you want something out of the ordinary, make sure you make that extra clear and maybe do a follow up before the appointment.
