I had the same issue as you for about a month. Groceries would just slide uncontrollably driving home. I actually had a gallon of milk knock open.
Anyway, I got a cargo net for the bed of the truck. Its "2 sided" so it ends up basically being a deep hammock for my groceries. I just drop the bags in. Works like a charm. Bought it off Amazon. You just hook both ends of the net to the existing brackets in the bed of the truck
