This is good info! May I ask about the 3rd party Ford extended warranty, is the process when you take it into the shop seamless? Like with Ford warranty, they know the issue, check its covered, do the work, etc, then pay nothing (or a deductible). If we bought it elsewhere do you pay all out of pocket, then have to get some claim process and paperwork, then get reimbursed?
yes it’s a Ford warranty just as if you had purchased it through a dealership but cheaper- you do have the option of how much deductible you want to pay-less deductible more $ for extended warranty.

Yep, afraid so. Almost always takes a deposit too.

Negotiate warranty?? you talking about ESPs?
When you guys say locked in and start contract, what does that mean or entail?

When I placed my X-plan order last month, the sales mgr said my PCO and 3 incentives were locked in. I signed the order sheet, he signed the Motor Vehicle Purchase form with the agreed upon numbers (and gave it to me), and I paid a $500 deposit. I'm hoping that really does mean "locked in and starting contract." That was my understanding. I'm ready for new wheels!

@zacka - I've attached a photo for your truck with our system. It shows the power boards as an FSA as well just like the others. The good thing is I don't see a blind spot FSA so they must've caught that before building (or it was built after that issue).

So is it likely that since this is a known issue now, any builds that are scheduled will have this corrected prior to being built?

with my build coming up Monday, just hoping that they have it all figured out feather than building to go to the back of line for a fix to be made.

Can anyone look to see if FSAs apply to my truck? I have BLIS and Power Deplorable Running Boards. Truck has been built since 11/12 but not shipped yet. :(

Hey! I've looked into your VIN and yep, shows BLIS & Power boards FSA's as well. Judging from all the VINs I've checked today, pretty sure it's literally every truck with the power boards.

Thanks for looking. Would this cause the truck not to ship from the factory?

No problem, my pleasure. Yeah I would say that it won't ship as it's technically a bit of a safety hazard. I couldn't imagine going to step on the running board and having it go in and potentially falling/tripping :p Wouldn't be good for Ford hahaha! It's much quicker for them to resolve this at the factory than shipping trucks to dealers, only to have to wait for new parts to be shipped to the dealer and THEN fixing it. Sounds more time consuming to me.

No, it's just an extension of the Ford warranty by Ford.

Thanks Bob, I can hardly wait to drive it home. I’m thinking about putting a leveling kit on the front, what are your thoughts?

I’m considering looking into bringing the rear down vs the front up.
I might not worry about it as I think the new ones are a bit lower than my
