brand new here hoping for some insight.
I have a 2021 2.7Eco F-150 Sport.
It has an awful seemingly mis-fire, skip, or fuel starvation on acceleration. It is most noticeable at highway cruising speed, in 10th gear when your gently into the throttle to keep up with traffic( 115-120kph). It is absolutely horrible when trying to do this uphills. As I said easing into the throttle in 10th the truck will shudder, then as you get into the throttle more it drops to 9th and it is dreadful the shuddering/skipping.
Wondering if anyone has any insight on this one?
Had it to my dealer to no help. They say it’s normal characteristic for the 10speed. This is my first 10 speed and this better not be normal.
Wishing I had my 6speeds back?

I am going to link the threads as I come across them. My truck is a new PB and has the same issue.

Try This Test and Post Your Results:
If you lock it in 10th gear in Manual mode at 50-51 mph (whatever the lowest speed you can achieve 10th gear) and then hold it wide open throttle to 70MPH, do you feel the same stated shutter or vibration? Mine will continue until the engine is at 2200 RPM.

Because mine has done this terribly since new, and it does it the worst going uphill allowing the cruise to drive the petal.

I have this problem. Pretty sure it’s the TQ converter slipping when it should be locked up.

So I tried this test today. And yes you are correct, my speeds are slightly different, mine seems to clear around 2400rpm.
It's not as defined as when doing it uphill, but its definitely there. going uphill is horrible.

It is the throttle tip in that is the worst. Not WOT. It is just 100% always re-producible at 50 MPH in 10th gear locked in.

It seems to occur worst as boost tries to build.

Has anyone had any success getting this fixed from Ford. Or do they not acknowledge it yet?

So far I’ve read where 1 person put shutter fix on the transmission of their brand new truck, and it stopped it.

Ford says it is normal characteristics.

Any fix found for this yet? I have a 2021 2.7 STX with around 63,000 miles and this just started happening.

Hi there, Sam! Go ahead and send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer, and I’ll look into this acceleration concern. Thanks!

I'm trying really hard to NOT respond, but I don't recommend 10th gear at 50mph regardless of Ford's shift strategy.
And if I even considered making a substantial torque request while traveling at 50mph, I would certainly hope the starting point was at higher RPMs than that.

I always imagine riding a 10-speed bicycle in 10th gear but traveling at a leisure speed. If I suddenly wanted to accelerate, for what ever reason, my thighs become the equivalent of the connecting rods. ?

Downshifting is my friend.
But already being in the appropriate gear is wisdom!

Ford gave me all those buttons and fingertip controls. I use them to be nice to my truck. Or put another way, I think I treat my truck a lot nicer than Ford does. And I get why too. Ford doesn't buy trucks, they sell them. ??

Any updates on this? I have a '21 2.7 10spd with the same issue at 25k miles. It also shudders when you're going highway speed then give it 70% throttle. It feels like something is slipping on acceleration or missing.
