No telling on timeline. My 22 has not had an update in a while. If the pushed some out and truck didn’t take it, then it’s just whenever the decide to try it again.

1FTFW1E82PFC23466. Can you look up my VIN please? Thinking to buy a Mongoose J2534 for module updates, want to find out if it's worth it at this point. Thanks.
Unfortunately, due to some recent cybersecurity changes within Ford, we cannot look up VINs without being plugged into the vehicle in FDRS anymore because Ford will ban the account. It would have to be someone with full PTS access to check, and that I know of, no one on the forum has that anymore.

I feel like we should lock this thread for now.
There are still some things I can check in PTS, but pending updates is not one of them.

Can someone help me with my path forward. After a short discussion with someone on reddit, they sent me in your guys direction. New to me 21' XLT

Check for update shows up to date.
Auto update ON in truck but wont turn on ford pass app?
located in western canada. This truck sat for 1 year + in a garage

What I would recommend is you get yourself a Mongoose and update the truck yourself. That software is old from 2021 and if your Sync is out of date, then all the modules are out of date. Connectivity seems to be working as of yesterday and it says Ford app is available. Have you tried a master reset on the touchscreen yet?

If you ask me, yes....it is worth updating. You do not have full screen CarPlay/Android Auto capability for starters. Over the course of the past years, many things have imporved with updates like driver assist performance, transmission shifts and many other things. If you get into FORScan, you will find that many of the things people are able to change and customize will not work on your truck due to the outdated software.

Assuming you already have (or have access to) a decent windows laptop, the Mongoose cable needed for FDRS costs $575 USD, a battery power supply will cost you $100 and a day-day pass for FDRS will cost you $120. If you click the mongoose loaner thread in my signature, towards the bottom of the first post are a few people who live in Canada that can loan or rent you the Mongoose cable. Many people have done that instead of buying the cable.

It looks like I sadly missed the window for this thread and all the great people who help out with VIN lookups. I’m curious if you could help with verifying an update has occurred? I just had my 2021 F150 warranty serviced for the rear camera warranty issue. They said ‘they updated everything’. Some of the updates took hours, it was in the shop for 4 days.
1. Can I verify the module numbers and updates myself to make sure it was all completed?
2.I still have a separate Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced power issue that recurs after driving an hour. The long thread refers to several updates that I wondered if they got applied.
Can you still look up things based on VIN, or is the next path Mongoose cable? I do have a Bluetooth ODB scanner if that will read module versions.

Would you mind looking up my VIN 1FTFW1E81MFB62283 - Updates have been installing after trying for about a week at a time, it seems, Today the dealership did the camera recall today - still no bed camera, asked them about it today and they said they could replace the camera, that the camera was broken?? (it is under warranty, so don't know what was the issue in fixing it, if it is really broken, ha)

I don't see any codes relating to a bad camera. I see a PCM update was sent to you a bunch of times and failed until it finally installed yesterday. Unfortunately, I can no longer see pending updates or what the dealer did or didn't do.

Ok, I did see that the update finally installed yesterday, don't know if it is because of the rural area I live in or servers being busy or something with the truck.

They say it is a bad camera, but the camera works fine, I just don't have the option for the bed camera (when moving). A friend that has an 2021 XLT built a month before mine has the option and it works fine.
