The gateway would lead to an APIM and then another Gateway then finally a TCU

You are at the level that oTAs should be working.

I would try the submit feedback in Settings/general/

Wireless updates not working

DO that 2 times.

Wait a couple days.

I cant say it works 100% but it seems to.

No.. The last was iN Feb. TCU update after the APIM.

No ignorance at all. This is a learning process. So I can look up FDRS updates available for your truck but not OTA's will need someone who has PTS for that.

They can be OTA’s or FDRS. Not forscan. Forscan is for tweaks and stuff it can’t update modules. That has to be done by Ford.

the PCM and HCM are for replacement modules. the other 2 are updates.

They could. Some of them anyway. I don’t have the list in front of me but someone has made a chart of all the modules and which ones have the ability to to OTA. The problem can be that certain modules can stop the others from getting OTA. There are others here that can speak to this much better than I. Sorry long answer to a short question. Lol

Posted here before when my gateway module needed to be updated via USB so my maps would update back in September. Blue cruise has been working fine until the most recent expiration on April 13th. Could someone please look and see why it’s not updating again? Thanks!

That GWM should come as an OTA (4.2.3).

Thanks guys! This is awesome. I bought my truck in May of 22 and I don’t think I’ve gotten any updates since.

Your truck's last recorded OTA was 25 months ago. You are on Sync 20301 which is bad software known to break the OTA process on 2021 trucks. Without dealer intervention, your truck will most likely never get an OTA. You need to schedule an appt with your dealer and reference TSB 22-2404. They need to manually repair/update your APIM or diagnose it as faulty and replace it.

3.5.3 has been sent to your truck twice and both times it timed out before it was able to download the files it needed for the update. This is a very common issue with this update. Nothing you can do but wait for it to be resent and

The last OTA your truck got was 3.5.4. All you are missing are far as OTA's go is the new 4.2.x updates that were recently released.

WOW...Finally. Just got notified that 3.5.3 installed...after multiple failures since Oct.

Could most likely be coincidence...just 30 minutes prior I went out to look at the diagnostic screens that were mentioned in the Wifi Logs thread. There is a nice one there for connectivity that shows successful connection to cellular and wifi (made me feel better actually showing things were working). Didn't do anything other than look around. For the fun of it set the auto update time...again, for 10 minutes after the current time. Shortly after, happy update!

Hopefully I'm past the hump. Thanks to everyone on the forum for insight, help and putting up with this craziness!
