Request VIN Lookup Thread

I'm hoping someone can do a VIN lookup for me. My 2021 had never had an update. I got it back from the dealer today for a replacement APIM. It now finally has access to auto updates.

VIN: 1FTFW1E86MFA21452

It currently shows VERSION: 21146_PRODUCT REVISION: 145

The last time Jesse checked, it showed about 15 modules that needed to be updated. I'm wondering what it shows now. Thanks in advance for checking!!

I see they installed a new APIM and properly ran the PMI process. If your truck was stuck not getting updates, you should be able to start getting them now whenever Ford decides to send you one. Just because they fixed your APIM does not mean you will magically start getting updates right away.

I just had my truck in the shop on Monday 4/17. I told them some stuff about the auto trans and rough running that should have lead them to putting the latest firmware on at least 2 modules. The Tech mumbled something about updating the PCM but there is no notes on the work order I received. But they did to the headlight and wiper recall.

is there anyway to see if they updated the PCM by this VIN lookup?

Yes, they did update your PCM on 4/17.

PTS shows that 2.7.3 installed successfully on 4/3. The next OTA would be 2.7.4, but no other updates have been sent to your truck since then.

can someone check this VIN please?

No OTA's have been sent to you since you got 3.5.4 back in February.

The last recorded OTA on your truck was September of last year. Your truck is on Sync version 22177, so you are far behind on updates. Seeing that you are a new member, I am assuming all this is new to you. Just FYI: There is nothing you can do to get an OTA sent to your truck. All you can do is wait for Ford to randomly send one to you and then hope it installs properly when you do get one.

Are the able to? Yes.

Will they? No. To get your truck up to date would require hours upon hours of updates being performed. Even under warranty, Ford does not pay dealers to update modules unless very specific conditions are met, which your truck does not meet.

If it did, you'd be famous by the end of the day.
