Please provide me with your VIN so that I may look up the update you got and add it to the list for the F150. That is one of the older updates that was released way before I started keeping track of them, and it is rare nowadays to see someone get it where I can take a look at the details. You can PM me the VIN if your prefer to keep it private.

Your truck is on Sync 22294 which is the latest with the exception of a very recent update that was released via OTA and FDRS. You have gotten two priority updates via OTA within the past 60 days, as well. Your truck is very close to being fully updated. Someone with FDRS will have to check what modules you many have pending updates, but the list should not be too long.
Thanks for the info! I'm a little confused on why it's showing 22294 on your end.
On my "About SYNC" page in the truck, it shows that I'm on:
SYNC 4, Software Version: 22177_PRODUCT
Revision: 473

Per the Ford Power Up github site, it looks like (based on what's showing on my truck) I am between 3.5.3 (Version 22228 Rev. 539) and 2.3.0 (Version 22087 Rev. 415).

3.5.3 enables full screen CarPlay which mine does not have yet.

Any thoughts on why that would show something different from what you are seeing?

I saw something different because I apparently didn't copy and paste the VIN you posted correctly and was looking at someone else's truck. lol My bad.....you are on Sync 22177 and based on that, you will have plenty of updates to do.

Haha no problem that makes a lot more sense.

I had my truck in for a couple warranty issues this past week and when I picked it up on Monday they said everything is up to date. I assume this means my only option is to force these updates myself using the Mongoose and FDRS?

Yes, the only way to get it done right is to do it yourself. Ford does not pay dealers for the hours it takes to update modules unless they can tie it to a recall or TSB that allows them to get paid, so they will always tell you it is up to date.

lol The service advisor is going to regurgitate whatever the tech tells them when they close the ticket. A tech is not going to tie up his bay and his pc for hours on end to not get paid for his work. You really can't blame them. It is Ford that needs to step their game up and pay the dealers to update modules on trucks that have problems taking OTA's. IMO, of course.

I'm hoping someone can do a VIN lookup for me. My 2021 had never had an update. I got it back from the dealer today for a replacement APIM. It now finally has access to auto updates.

VIN: 1FTFW1E86MFA21452

It currently shows VERSION: 21146_PRODUCT REVISION: 145

The last time Jesse checked, it showed about 15 modules that needed to be updated. I'm wondering what it shows now. Thanks in advance for checking!!

I just had my truck in the shop on Monday 4/17. I told them some stuff about the auto trans and rough running that should have lead them to putting the latest firmware on at least 2 modules. The Tech mumbled something about updating the PCM but there is no notes on the work order I received. But they did to the headlight and wiper recall.

is there anyway to see if they updated the PCM by this VIN lookup?

FDRS will absolutely show the logs for any updates to your pcm.

It'll timestamp it too.

Snake, is FDRS what your guys are looking up the VIN's in?
I thought that was the software out of my price range for updating the modules myself :).

I doubt it's the software that's the co$t burden, but rather the J2534 OBD adapter?

The software is $50 (2 days)

But you could look up the FDRS history without even hooking up to your truck. So you wouldn't need the adapter for auditing what's been done to your truck since the day it was born.

Do all updates eventually come through OTA or do some absolutely required FDRS?

if the latter, could someone please check: 1FTFW1ED7NFB56079

TIA!
