Can someone please run my VIN? My truck is an early 2021 build and I've been stuck on 2.3 forever. I am considering buying the FDRS subscription and fixing this myself but want to make sure its worthwhile. Thanks in advance!

I don't have FDRS to see what modules have pending updates, but I can see you got an APIM update in November and a failed PCM update in December, so you are getting updates. Your Sync version indicates you are not fully up to date with the older OTA's, but you are getting updates which is a good thing.

No OTA history in the past 60 days and none in queue. You have a 2022, so the only updates you would be missing is 3.5.2 and up.

Thanks for checking! I'm not quite sure where to go from here besides just waiting for OTA updates or manually running them with FDRS. I'll probably just sit tight - just want to make sure if something is wrong, I can work to correct.

Thanks for providing this! From reading through several pages of this thread, the only way to get these updates to do to it myself with FDRS, right? My dealer isn't going to do it because Ford doesn't pay them to install these unless they're part of a recall, right?

Correct. Unless you complain about certain issues your truck is having that are directly associated with the modules pending updates.

In broad terms, yes.

There are some that more-or-less get routinely updated by OTA (if your truck gets OTAs that is).

Those would be things like the APIM (Sync), the GWM (gateway), and the TCU (telematics modem).

As an example of what you can expect OTAs to update (and what gets left out) you can check here to see from a historical perspective what has and has not been updated by OTA to help inform your decision to Mongoose, or not to Mongoose.

No but if you post the VIN I'll tell you what updates it has available in FDRS.

Your truck is stuck on Sync version 20301. That is a red flag that your APIM is locked out of getting updates due to a faulty OTA that was being sent out many months ago. They have not touched your truck since it got there other than the 16th when they connected it to FDRS, but didn't actually do anything other than a network scan. Since then, all they have done is pulled bulletins on your truck including 21G01. Yes, it is true that Ford sent a bulletin to all dealers to stop performing 21G01 until further notice.

Your truck will not get any OTA's until your APIM is updated out of the state it is in. You can wait for Ford to open up 21G01 and hope whatever tech gets your car is capable of performing the necessary updates, or get a Mongoose and do it yourself.

21G01 Supplement #2 just added to NHSTA site. I've attached the PDF of procedures.
