Check out the chart for OTA capability...but there is a distinction between what's capable and what is probable. Thanks Mike! Every time I check for software updates, I get the message there are no new updates available. Are these updates that have to be completed by the dealer or should they be part of the pushed automatic updates, which I have enabled?
We know the WACM is not capable of OTA.
The BCM and IPC are not probable. I haven't seen a BCM update as an OTA ever, and from my programming experience with the IPC it took something like 3-4 hours to do my Mach-E and F-150PB when I was doing the BC using FDRS.
PCM is possible but not probable.
The APIM is quite often done as an OTA but it depends on stars aligning, battery state of charge, how many AT&T bars you have when you're driving around, and whether or not your TCU is behaving or not.
Oh, and I would stop checking that software updates thing, cause it's always going to say you're up to date. Just keep looking for the little download symbol in the top line of your screen as a clue that somethings ready to update.
More info and clues.
