Remote Start via Key Fob

There may be a setting that I’ve misssd. I can lock/unlock using the fob, but I’ve never been able to start the truck using it. Have to use the app.

Are you hitting the lock button (even if it’s already locked) before trying the remote start on the fob? I made that mistake a few times.

Holding the fob up to your chin does work...extends the distance so it will work.

@Ricksc - you are correct. I had vehicles where the radio was an option - AM only - AM/FM only - AM/FM/8 track...then cassette. Cruse was only in the high trims only or add it your self. Which I did on a few of my vehicles. No such thing as remote start, never mind with my cell phone. A car phone was in a bag...lol My first vehicle with power windows, door locks and A/C was my 2006 F 150.

Yes, we are spoiled but the tech in these trucks.

You forgot CD’s and then a hard drive you could copy your CD’s to. Of course satellite and steaming then took that over.

Try using the FordPass start function. See if that works. Mine I can start from half a block away and around the corner. Can’t even see the truck

I started my truck in Massachusetts while I was in Utah . My wife was there to verify it.
