Has anyone else received an email from Ford offering early access to Bluecruise? I received an invite email yesterday. After signing up, they state that I will be notified in upcoming weeks by email that the update is ready to be used. Not sure if it will be ota or at a dealer? The $600 will be required at that point for 3 years of activation. Kind of psyched to actually be able to drive hands free on most highways.
600 bux? what a rip. Can't get Sync 4 map updates that are even up to date. We have new roads here over 3 years old and still old maps. Same on Sync 3.4...
Sheesh.

If you think that is a lot, you should see the price for the FSD update for a Tesla. The Tesla FSD does more than BlueCruise, but the differences aren’t worth $9400 (or $200/month for the sub). I am fine with the $200/yr for three years of BlueCruise for what it does.

"I guess Ford plans on adding to the available blue Cruise mapping in the coming months/years?"

Landon, that's the $600 question. Presumably, the 'service fee' ($600/3 year subscription) is to fund the costs already incurred by Ford for highway mapping PLUS the ongoing costs of keeping them updated (new construction projects will presumably require Ford to remap) PLUS any costs of mapping additional roads. But in my searches, I've yet to find Ford making commitments of any kind about what the $600 will be used for *other than providing us hands-free driving on the existing mapped roads.* (Anyone seen something more than this? I'd welcome being corrected).

As I mentioned earlier, those of us out west (and certainly in Canada) are not being provided with much in the way of access to mapped highways. E.g. I was just mapping out a camping trip that runs along the Mongollon Rim at the base of the Colorado Plateau on US 260. It runs from I-17 to I-25 over about 150 miles, is often a 4-lane divided highway, and is nationally known for its gorgeous topography. I would think it ranks pretty high on the 'interstate connectivity' scale, so it's also a functional route out here. Will my (and your) $600 subscription add those kinds of mapped highways to the BC inventory? Perhaps as some of our members interact with Ford about their BC experience, this kind of info will trickle out.

I'd be interested to find out if BlueCruise actually centers the vehicle in the lane, unlike the Lane Centering which quite a few of us have found tends to place the vehicle right of center.

I have a lariat (ordered in transit should be here in 2 weeks or so)with co pilot 360 assist 2.0 built in navigation(also 360 camera package added) but I did not add the active prep i am under the impression active prep is required for blue cruise as it adds the in cabin eye sensors and such. Do you also have the active prep package?
Appears It does not say Active Prep. Oh well, still happy driving the truck myself and appears there is lots of confusion surrounding BC. I didn't buy the truck with intention of getting it anyways. I was lucky enough in Mid March 21' to find on a dealer Lot a Crew Cab Power Boost in Rapid Red w/Lower two-tone paint, Pro Power 7.2 Generator, Max tow package, 20 inch Chrome wheels, chrome package, Running boards, Spray-in Bed liner, 360 Co-Pilot cameras, Tailgate step, Sync 4 12.2 inch screen, Column Shift and Moonroof. that still had Discounts from Dealer and Ford. XLT Crew Cab w/ $20,620 in options plus Dest & Delivery Totaled $66,120 After Ford discounts before adding Ohio Tax, I paid $56,567 using X-Plan. That Included $1,000 discount for Ford Financing which I paid off before first payment to take advantage of discount. Their interest rates are way too high! Better rates at credit unions.

Heck yeah still a very nice truck I was asking not to prove you wrong but hoping you were right! But I think adaptive cruise control and an ankle weight accomplishes most of the same thing as blue cruise anyways lol

My other vehicle is a Tesla Model 3 Performance. I was "fortunate" to pay $5K for FSD when I purchased my Model 3 in 2019. As stated, FSD has more features than the initial BlueCruise offering. While I like some of those additional features, I agree that the greatest benefit is highway driving on long trips. So, BlueCruise at $200 per year is a killer deal in my opinion.
