23 Platinum ,3.5, Max Tow package 5100 Bilstein upgrade all around with 2.5” strut plevel. Truck rides like a dream when not towing “But” when towing the rear end sags somewhat. About 2-3” with about 2-300# tongue weight. Would like to fix this issue without effecting the ride when I’m not pulling my boat trailer. What are some good real options? Let’s hear from the experts. thx for your time.

I have the Roadmaster Active Suspension and its been great on my 2022 PB 6.5 foot bed with max tow. I tow a big boat that weighs 8500 pounds with trailer, and we just got a fifth wheel which is about 7500 pounds. Truck stays level when loaded, but there is some rake when not loaded which is fine with me.

If the request is to solely keep the truck level for appearance / image, then the airbags will work, as will the active suspension. What they don't do (at least the air bags), is return the weight to the front axles, limiting control. A weight distribution hitch would level it back out and transfer part of the weight to the front axle for safety reasons. I wouldn't worry about 200-300 pounds though, and had the truck not already been leveled for appearance, the 200-300 pound tongue weight would probably have it sitting pretty level.

x2 on the RAS. I haul my sled in the winter, which is about 600lbs in the bed and it helps keep it level. I’m setup similar to OP, 3.5, Max Tow, 5.5ft bed with 5100 Bilsteins all around, set to 1.5” up front. It rides great unloaded and I’m not blinding anyone with my headlights when the sled is loaded in the back. I went with RAS over air bags for how passive it is (I’m not adding air when it’s -20F out and I’m trying to load up and go) and that it’s unaffected by changes in air temperature.

Highly recommend Timbren over air bags. air bags change the ride because they are attached. My 19' had air bags. I like the adjustment, but the truck drove a lot rougher. With my 23' Lariat I used Timbren. I was able to set the height so they didn't kick in until I was loaded up. For me my boat is approximately 400 lb of tongue weight. I set it up so if the boat was hooked up then the timbren was being used. Easy installation and a lot less expensive. Towed the boat 1200 miles and absolutely loved the setup.

Thanks for the replies everyone. RAS sounds like the way to go. Just a note; I had put them on my Sierra Denali back when they were fairly new years ago and they did ok but I was towing a much bigger boat. I see on their website they offer 2 versions regular & Heavy duty. What are your thoughts on choice of the two?

I run air bags on mine, but I am also pulling a lot more weight than you. Levels out and rides good. Had the timbren on my old truck and it beat me to death, sorry

I went with the regular and thought with the fifth wheel I might need the heavy duty but it has been fine so far.

I went HD Roadmaster and it set it firmest. It really raises the rear but controlled the sag.

I tow a 6000# pound trailer with the WDH set correctly truck is level. Yes it sags compared to no trailer but it’s level and tows great. If you level a truck then add trailer that’s going to happen.

I will add that I pull a 7500# enclosed trailer with a weigh-safe WDH. I run Fox 2.5 on front with Fox 2.0 on rear both with DSC Reservoirs.
Without the Roadmaster HD my truck would sag with loaded trailer.
