Sorry for bringing up dumb questions, but I can still see both are the top trims and need help for decisions.

Raptor Pros:
Fancy exterior looks (including dual exhausts)
Increased ride height
All terrain tires
Skid plate
Fox suspension
Unique steering wheel

Limited Pros:
R22 large wheels (looks better)
Unique blue leather seats (not sure how it compares to Raptor’s RECARO leather seat)
Power running board
Blue cruise
Hybrid engine (higher mpg)

I only listed the Pros that attract me to go with each trim. I live in urban CA and will not go off-road often. F-150 for me is more like a “hobby car” because I won’t use it to travel far away or tow a trailer/RV. Rather I’m looking for the comfort ride and the fancy exterior.

If it’s still not clear, let me put the question directly:

1. Will the AT tires and Fox shock combination increase or decrease the ride comfort on state highway(not well maintained as interstates) and local roads?
2. Which seat provides better ride comfort?
3. Any real experience on how much gas one can save by going with hybrid engine? Any other pros for the hybrid engine?
4. How does Blue Cruise compare with standard Co-pilot on Raptor? Is blue cruise really helpful?

Please advise! Thanks.

I'd be really surprised if the limited didn't ride better but the raptor can't be beat for cool factor :ROFLMAO:

Two very different trucks in my opinion.

Not sure if Fox springs would even provide better ride on raptor then limited as it’s designed to absorb shakes…

Ideally I’d like a truck with raptor exterior and limited interior and a plug-in hybrid high output engine(that can beat TRX)?

The Raptor is taller and harder to clear in parking garages. The Limited is slightly faster. Seat choice is easy: Limited => massaging seats.

I have not sat in a Raptor, but i can tell you that the seats in my Limited are VERY comfortable. And it has nothing to do withe massaging seats. Even though that feature is very nice as well.

I agree with pkinneb, two very different trucks.

2 very different trucks - Raptor will have better resale down the road but it is wider and taller so parking and daily driving will be slightly different. Blue cruise is fantastic and absolutely worth it in California traffic along with the massaging seats. I went through the exact same debate and ended up with a loaded up platinum at the same cost of a Raptor or limited. If you can drive both do, the Raptor has a different feel to the ride that just wasn’t for me but many people love it.

If you can hear what Baja mode sounds like in person on the Raptor, you decision could be an easy one.

Thanks for the suggestions. Last week I test drove a Larait and hopefully the ride feel should be similar to Limited (unless for massager?). I should also test drive Raptor as well, but I didn’t find any new raptor on the dealer’s lot…

Any idea on how to make dealer be willing to let you test drive the new truck? Since I’m targeting $80-90k trucks, I have to do my homework before placing online order. But dealers always want you to buy their inventory today…

I don’t see why any dealers wouldn’t let you test drive their inventory. The bigger issue would be finding a Limited and Raptor sitting on a lot that are available to test drive. At least in Houston it would be difficult.

Exactly same in CA. Only XLTs are in the lot. Last time I tried to test drive a TRX, but dealer said he prefer not to let me take a ride unless I’m interested in buying that at the same day.

Yes I saw the exterior dimension is larger, but does this mean raptor cab is roomier than other F150s?

Mall crawler ? Pick the limited.
Prerunner ? Pick the Raptor.

The best thing about the Raptor is four link rear suspension. If you don’t need that; get the limited.

Cheers,

The only thing dimensionally different about the Raptor, other than the higher ride height, is that it has about 6" more track width. The body panels are flared to cover the wheels sticking out an additional 3"on each side. The widest part of the truck is still the sideview mirrors which are the same width as a standard F150. No difference in cab dimensions.
