Railroad Crossing Chime - the saga continues

Ok, so I’m still having the issues with “railroad crossing” and “school zone” chime every time I come close to either a railroad or a school crossing. I called Ford and talked to them and they told me to go into driver assist and turn off cross traffic alert? Tried this and it didn’t work? An earlier recommendation stated it’s in the navigation under maps, but I do not have a way in the nav system maps to turn off any alerts. Does anyone have any idea how to turn off this “chime”. I can’t believe I’m having such an issue with this.

I guess I’ll just have to get used to it, but usually when I hear a “chime” I’m thinking there is an issue of some sort.

Mine does this as well. School zones, crosswalks, and RR crossings. I've just learned to live with it for the time being.

I forget where exactly the option is, but check in navigation settings for something like "safety alerts" and turn that off.

I’ve checked navigation settings, i don’t have a setting to turn off alerts?

I just went into navigation (again) and the only place I can find anything about alerts is in ‘more setting”, alerts is grayed out, I can’t change anything?

I can’t change the alert preferences, it is grayed out, no matter what i try i can’t change the alerts. I saw the thread and looked for road hazards, I can’t see it because i can’t change alert preferences at all

I had RR crossing alerts in my waze as well. Once I fixed that and confirmed the built in nav also wasn't enabled life is good.

can you get waze to show up on the 12” screen? I love waze, shows me where the police are.

That's odd. I just looked and found the settings on mine and was able to switch them OFF.

Ok, alerts are fixed, it was an update issue. Now that I was able to complete the update, I change the alerts.

Waze displays through Android Auto. I also believe it will through Apple as well.
