I recently bought a 25 powerboost and looking at keeping this truck a long time. My questions are, how many miles on your truck, what were your oil change intervals and lastly what's your favorite oil? I just did my first oil change at 2000 miles with the semi synthetic and will probably do 3000-4000 mile intervals.

Thanks

I have a 2014, 3.5 eco with 114K miles. I change oil every 4K. I've been using full syn oil and motorcraft filter. Still running strong. I run full syn in my 2022 also. I prefer Motorcraft full syn oil and filter. I change my 22' every 5K.

I have a 2013 cohost 240000 miles
Had that loose timing chain fixed and that’s all the problem I had.
I ask for synthetic when getting it changed but never pay attention to brand they put in every
5-7000 miles.

Just cruised past 157,000 last week. Change it every 3500 or so, use Mobil 1 .

I had 311K on my 2013 EB and now 239K on my 2021 PB. I have the dealership change the oil some time after the idiot light comes on which is about 9-12K. These trucks don't mind being rode hard and put away wet.

What fuel did you run the whole time? Good ol 87 or do you use 93?

Had a 2018 2.7 with the only issue being a driver side turbo oil feed line I had to replace. Not a show stopper just a bad check valve that would lead to a small bit of smoke on startup. Over 200K miles when I traded it in on Motorcraft 5w30 blend and eventually Super Tech 5w30 synthetic.

Traded that for a 2022 2.7 and had zero issues out to 91K miles on Super Tech 5w30 synthetic.

Always 88 E15 or sometimes 87. Never noticed any difference in MPG. I change the oil 7500-9000 miles. Did one oil analysis years ago and it was still in grade and clean enough so I never worried about it again. I drive pretty much all highway though which is a bit easier on the oil than in town.

I think I saw one 2.7 phaser issue in all the years I worked at a dealer until I left in 2022. I've heard there were some issues in recent years but I don't worry about it. It was mostly a 3.5 issue.

Currently about to hit 90,000 miles on the 3.5L and it's 4.5 years old.
I'm keeping my truck for 20 years unless I get t-boned.
Used whatever oil the dealership was putting in it and kept getting it changed there until I knew Ford wouldn't honor any good will requests (apparently that's a hard 80K now). Never needed to request any major warranty work, did all the recalls. Now I do my own oil changes and use Mobil 1 Extended Performance High Mileage Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5W-30, 5 Quart (2x on the first order, then 1x every 4 months on subscribe and save as it takes 6 quarts - then going to set the next order to 2x once the other bottle gets low). You didn't ask but I'm using a WIX XP Oil Filter 57502XP from O'Reilly because I don't trust getting genuine ones from Amazon.
I installed an oil catch can as soon as I bought the truck and boy howdy does it catch a lot of oil. By the end of the change interval, it's full - so I empty it every couple thousand miles and top off the loss I see on the dipstick. I only did the passenger side but probably should have installed both banks.

Here's your middle question:

Edit: @dadrew's msg about gas reminded me - I was on 87 only, usually from Murphy USA, but a couple months ago switched to QT or any other top tier rated 93 octane. The early-and-often oil changes are cheap insurance (and good on you for 3K-4K intervals!), but the 93 octane hurts a bit more in the wallet. I just really like this truck and don't want anything to break lol.

For my '13, I went 193k miles doing 5k oil changes with full synthetic, and never had a cam phaser issue or rattle, or any other engine related issues besides coolant leaks.
