Hey all,

Quick question - I'm still definitely learning here lol.

I have a 2021 Platinum Powerboost w/ Sunroof, Fx4 off-road etc - basically about as heavy as these trucks get. After far too much research I went w/ the previous gen Fox Roush coilovers to level it out. From what I read, the 650 lbs springs should cut it.

Had an off road shop do the install and, after settling, ended up with 1.5" of rake still. I went back to have them adjust up a little and was surprised when they said they strongly suggested not adjusting at all and it'll drive awful if I did. I assume they installed at the factory setting and there should be at least another inch or two of lift if they're cranked up.

I have 1 and 3/4 inches of thread under the collar at the moment.

Anyone else use this set to level out a Powerboost? Did you crank up the collar a little to level out?

I assume I'm able to w/out destroying the ride but hoping for any feedback...

thanks!

hi, i have a loaded 2022 f-150 xlt fx4 powerboost, 302a w/ pano-roof, max tow, heavy too, so i just got my trucklast month and wanted to level it so i did all the research 1st,, i read about the issuses and i too decided on the 2014-2019 gen 13 roush kit, they have 650 lbs springs,, i just bought the kit yesterday and i will get it tuesday, so i did the research that i liked,, and i called roush and honestly got off the phone and called FOX and told them i had a 2022 powerboost and going to install the gen13 roush kit they recomened it and AND they told me to install the coil overs right out of the box DO NOT adjust them 5/8".. so you need to call FOX SHOCKS and find out how much thread is the coilover is so posed to have and that should fix it if you havent done it yet, i dont know when i will install my kit but i hope before christmas,or the new year.. i hope this info helps every powerboost

Please post after you’re done! I ended up taking them off and adjusting the collar so 2 3/8” of thread was showing. I think my trucks a little heavier than yours but this left me just about level. I replaced the shackles in the rear to get an inch of rake back. It’s about where I wanted now.

Good luck with the install!

I hated the ride of those shocks on my 2021 Powerboost. When the truck was empty the rear end was super sketchy over any road imperfections (even more than the OEM FX4 shocks). I ended up taking them off and selling them. Part of the reason also was that I wanted to "unlift" my truck so it could juuuuuuust fit into our airport parking garage, part because of the poor ride.

At some point I'm going to install Bilstein 4600's (I plan to change the boots to black and paint the shock body). I'm at about 32K miles now, so will probably make the swap at 40K.

I’d focus on how much lift you got up front vs how much rake is left in the rear.
